SGI Global Wealth Effect is a benchmark of the global wealth sector worldwide.The Index consists of the most representative companies in the fields of travel, fine dining, health, nutrition and beauty, as well as more traditional items such as watches, jewelry and accessories.
The index is designed to reflect precisely the wealth sector worldwide. Based on company disclosure, on the launch date the index is therefore invested 39% luxury goods, 29% leisure, 15% specialty retail, 10% autos, and the rest in well-being, cosmetics and wines/spirits.
This sectoral breakdown is expected to be fairly stable short-term, and yet may vary according to changes in the industry dynamics.
The index composition is reviewed every six months by Société Générale (the index sponsor). The index is also reviewed to meet liquidity, and other tradability constraints.
